James Golding

Described by RedBull as

“The Man Who Refused to Die”

“James is an inspirational keynote speaker and trusted advisor to global organisations on resilience, performance, leadership, and employee engagement”

I have been twice diagnosed with life-threatening cancer, and was given just a 5% chance of survival. After dropping to only 6 stone, I was left re-learning to walk.

I have done so much more than just survive cancer. As a Guinness World Record holder for the greatest distance cycled in seven days, I have redefined what is possible. I have turned adversity into purpose-driven performance, repeatedly reinventing myself, both on and off the bike, to become a symbol of resilience, determination and hope.

I have completed some of the world's toughest endurance cycling events, including Race Across America, Race Across the West and the Haute Route Triple Crown.

But my impact off the bike is equally as impressive. I have raised over £4 million for charitable causes and worked with leading organisations including Marks & Spencer, B&Q, Starbucks, Morgan Stanley, Brewin Dolphin - Royal Bank of Canada, and Fairstone Ireland, designing and leading large-scale staff engagement, well-being, and CSR initiatives.

I have also served as a long-term ambassador for brands including Adidas, TREK Bicycles, Wattbike, and Santini, and am the founder of Breakaway, a luxury cycling retreat and concierge company in Portugal, launching in late 2026 for senior executives and high performers.

As part of my continued charity fundraising, I am chair of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Velodrome Challenge. I am also a consultant on corporate cycling events such as the 2026 London Nocturne, for which Great Ormond Street Hospital is the charity partner.

Across all my ventures, I blend elite athletic insight with commercial acumen to help individuals and teams unlock resilience, redefine limits, and reconnect with purpose.
